Remote Sensing |  $14.4 B by 2020

Tarsier’s turbulence free imaging system reduces the time for drones to map a large area.

Hypack supplies systems for mapping/describing features important for maritime navigation, dredging, marine mammal tracking and oil exploration. Drone systems are the preferred data acquisition method but acquiring images of large areas over water is difficult because of air turbulence exacerbated by the water/air interface. Because of air turbulence, Hypack uses images acquired by flying low to the water which results in long fly time to map large areas.

Government surveillance includes military applications especially for field use where taking a ground level wide angle photograph with very high levels of resolution will enable visualization angles not attainable from satellite and with a level of resolution not attainable from any other source. Similarly, in police and other homeland security application, it will enable ground level photos from extreme distances giving otherwise unattainable images of faces, bar codes on shipping containers, type written pages on a desk and thousands of other needs. The technology can also be used from the air providing far higher level resolution than is otherwise attainable.

General Sighting  |  $5 B in 2015

Whether mounted to ship, tank, armored vehicle, the use of long distance imaging for intelligence or reconnaissance is limited by heat haze –
we extend that distance.

Gun Sights  |  $6.87 B by 2020

Modern rife scopes correct for wind and the earth’s rotation, but these features  cannot be used at long distances  because of turbulence. Trijicon manufactures and supplies scopes for use by sportsman and the military. Their new generation sights which acquires the image through a lens, capture it digitally and display the image on a screen, works at less than 500 yard range but fails at longer distances because of air turbulence distorting the target image
